Over-The-Horizon Missile Launching System
NAVSEA

Pictured is the long-range, surface-to-surface warfare system known as the Over-The-Horizon (OTH) Weapon System, designed to engage maritime targets both inside and beyond the radar horizon with an imagining infrared seeker, optimized for anti-surface warfare. The weapon system is made up of the Naval Strike Missile (NSM) and the Missile Launching System (MLS), in which NAWS China Lake and NSWC Port Hueneme helm their USN engineering teams respectively. Currently fielded across various LCS class ships throughout the navy, the system is staged to be the next great advancement for the fleet.
With my time as an In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) for the MLS, I have been involved with the ongoing optimization of design and operation of the weapon system, and development several standard operating procedures and training standards for the program, all validated at the state of the art OTH MLS laboratory. The fleet utilizes our expertise to ensure full operability and capability while home and deployed during several onsite technical combat system events and supporting onsite assessments.
Additionally serving as the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) lead, I led in the full scale planning, installation and integration aboard contracted allied hulls, working directly with overseas personnel and domestic engineers to ensure smooth delivery and upkeep of our allied agreements.
